Waiting

My last appointment with the mid-wife is over. Now, we wait patiently. I'm hoping the children won't be too bored while we stay close to home. This morning Bella asked if she could paint the baby's nails. When I said no, she replied "why? will she not have hands and feet?" Hide the make-up and nail varnish me thinks:)

Floral

I love floral, especially vintage floral on the walls and in vases of course. I've been cutting the peonies lately, taking advantage of the few weeks they are in flower. The children have been picking flowers in the garden too,  presenting me proudly with sweet bunches of daisies and cow parsley.

Down the garden

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago. Sam in his Ben Ten outfit and Bella in her worn out tutu. The light was perfect for the camera. It's peaceful down there and wild too - making it a perfect place for foraging and making pretend campfires.

^^^

Pottering around the house when the children are at school. Not getting anywhere fast. It's nice to spend time just the four of us, these last few weeks before we get to meet the new little buckle.

Sam : he's just great, being such a good boy for me lately.

Bella : she's been making a dash for it when she sees me grabbing my camera....and I can't keep up with her.

Plant fair

We visited our local Château on Sunday to see the plant fair. Finally, the sun shone and the children ran and burnt off some energy. We didn't get to see inside the Château which is privately owned, but that didn't matter. Walking around the grounds and eating lunch in the marquee was good enough. Bella is wearing a dress sent by my friend Nuria from Madrid. I saw she was donating her daughters dress and quickly grabbed it. She runs a great website too at The Adventures Archive
